RESIDENTIAL
At Denver Children’s Home, we understand that every child’s journey is unique. Our Residential Program provides a safe, nurturing environment for children and teens ages 9 to 18 who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect, and who are coping with serious mental health challenges.
Our campus is designed to support healing and growth, with five comfortable dormitories, each featuring common areas and bathrooms, and fully equipped with air conditioning and heating. Staffed 24/7, including awake staff overnight, we ensure each child’s safety, health, and well-being at all times. Children attend our accredited on-site school, The Bansbach Academy, where they receive personalized educational support in a safe, supportive environment.
We believe that nourishing the body is key to healing the mind. That's why we serve organic, whole-grain, and nutritious meals in our cafe, with fresh fruit snacks available throughout the day. Our days are structured with clear expectations and behavior contracts that allow children to work toward rewards and special privileges.
Our campus also includes a fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment, meditation garden, ropes course, playground, and a variety of enrichment spaces to support physical, emotional, and creative development.
At Denver Children’s Home, we help children feel seen, supported, and empowered on their journey to healing and success.
“Thank you all for helping my grandma and me. We are truly changed people from when we started this journey.”
