OUR MISSION,
OUR PURPOSE
At Denver Children’s Home, our mission is to restore hope and health to children and families affected by trauma. Through a wide range of therapeutic, educational, and community-based services, we help these children heal and thrive.
We provide a comprehensive continuum of care for children and families facing challenges such as abuse, neglect, and mental health issues. Our programs focus on prevention, intervention, and treatment, all based on brain development and trauma-informed care.
We strive to:
Provide personalized, effective treatment that respects the individual needs of each child, while ensuring the least restrictive environment possible.
Support children through multiple levels of care, helping them manage mental health challenges and eventually return home or transition to a community-based setting.
Offer a positive alternative to psychiatric hospitalization, combining intensive therapy, academic support, and specialized treatments for mental health conditions.
Empower children to take control of their own treatment, helping them understand their emotions, behaviors, and responses to life events, and teaching them to manage challenges in healthy ways.
Provide support for families and caregivers, ensuring they have the resources and services needed to create a stable and supportive home environment.
Our services include a 24/7 Residential Program; a fully accredited The Bansbach Academy, a Day Treatment Program, two semi-independent group homes for adolescents (Discovery Home and Inspire Home) and Community-Based Services like the Intensive In-Home Program.
“I feel so fortunate to witness kids’ lives being transformed every day. This is such a special place.”
