Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering can change lives. We are so grateful when a group or individual decides they want to help by donating time and energy. We have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. If you'd like to schedule a tour to learn more, please email volunteer@denverchildrenshome.org.

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups or Individuals

Meal volunteers at Denver Children's Home

Cook a Meal

Provide a healthy and home cooked meal for kids and staff to enjoy. Without your generosity, kids at DCH would only have meals that have been prepared and packaged offsite. You must schedule your meal at least two weeks in advance. (Best suited for groups of four or more)

Host an Activity in the Home

Schedule a time to come in and play basketball, kick ball, volleyball, any other game or organize a game night with bingo, crafts or minute-to-win-it games. Our kids always love fun activities put on my volunteers! (Best suited for groups of four or more)

Garden volunteers at Denver Children's Home

Garden Volunteers

During the summer months, our Therapy Garden can use some extra hands to help weed, water and care for the plants. (on hold until the Spring)

Plan an Event or Outing

Sponsor a group of kids and staff to head to an event outside of the Home. Send them to a show, a game, a movie, performance, museum or something fun that they wouldn’t be able to do without you.

Host a Fundraiser

Support DCH by planning an event and having all proceeds go to the Home. There are so many options (jeans days at work, Colfax Marathon team, benefit happy hour, etc.) and we would love to talk with you about how we can help.

Host a Drive

We are always in need of supplies and items in the Home. Support our kids by holding a donation drive. We have a fall School Supply drive, Holiday toy drive and a wish list for household items we always need.
