Denver Children's Home sees in every child an opportunity for health and healing.  We provide a therapeutic, safe place for emotionally distressed children, adolescents and their families to heal and grow.

Our philosophy is:
 

  • to serve those children with the greatest financial and emotional need;
  • to treat the children AND their families so cycles of abuse and neglect are broken;
  • and, to provide a positive alternative to psychiatric hospitals for treatment of seriously mentally ill children.

Denver Children's Home is the first nonprofit in the State of Colorado.  Throughout our 132-year history of service, the organization has consistently met the needs of children and families.  On a daily basis, DCH clinicians treat an average of 40 children in our residential programs and 60 children in our outpatient programs.  Services are also provided to parents, siblings and other relatives.
